Dr. Cristescu has joined arthritis associates in 2013. After completing his medical specialty training in the Northeast, he passed the rheumatology board examination that same year, in 2013.
Dr. Cristescu has completed his internal-medicine residency training in Connecticut, at Danbury Hospital-Yale University, in 2010. After working as a hospital physician for one year in Manchester N.H., he went back to training in rheumatology. Dr. Cristescu has completed his fellowship training at Roger Williams Medical Center-Boston University and Rhode Island Hospital-Brown University, in 2013. During his fellowship, Dr. Cristescu was actively involved in research, publishing, reviewing, and writing book chapters on various rheumatologic topics. He is currently a sub-investigator in several research trials, involving the development of new therapies for various rheumatologic disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, spondyloarthropathies, and lupus.
Dr. Cristescu is proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of all musculoskeletal disorders, with a special interest in rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis. He is a member of the American College of Rheumatology.
When he is not working, Dr. Cristescu enjoys spending time with his wife and two little girls. He enjoys playing guitar, photography, chess and teaching kids Sunday School lessons at church.
